IPL Final 2025 PBKS vs RCB Check Ahmedabad’s mood timings and scheduled ceremony

The iconic title clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is all set to take place at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be the third time the IPL final is hosted in Ahmedabad, and cricket enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement.

With the military ‘Operation Sindoor’ as the backdrop, today’s IPL closing ceremony will be themed around patriotism, featuring a performance by renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan.

The RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 final will commence from 7.30 pm IST and the ceremony starts at 6 pm.

IPL Final ceremony

The IPL title match will be played today between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad. Entry to the stadium will begin at 4.30 pm.

During the innings break, a laser show will entertain the fans. The closing event will also feature a traditional Gujarati Garba performance. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Abhishek Bachchan are also expected to attend the final in Ahmedabad. Chiefs of all three branches of the Indian Armed Forces were reportedly invited to the event, but their presence is unlikely.

According to sources, over 85,000 tickets have already been sold for the IPL final. Additionally, about 25,000 tickets have been kept reserved. The entire stadium will be adorned in the colors of the Indian flag, and large screens will display continuous messages of gratitude to the Indian military.

Ahmedabad weather check

Ahmedabad is expected to have cloudy weather today, with scattered showers in some areas until 5 pm. However, there is little to no chance of rain after 7 pm. Due to high humidity, spectators may feel uncomfortable and sweaty.

Live screening at cafes

Several cafés and restaurants in Ahmedabad have made special arrangements for the IPL final. Fans will be able to watch the match on large screens while enjoying food and beverages. Many residential societies have also installed big screens for communal viewing.

While watching a cricket match in stadiums abroad is often a picnic-like experience, in India it can become a struggle. From a poor ticketing system to various inconveniences, fans often face difficulties just reaching their seats. A bottle of water that usually costs ₹20 is reportedly sold for ₹100, a vegetable sandwich for ₹200, a pizza for over ₹400, bhel for ₹150, and cold drinks for ₹100.

Fans upset with online ticketing system

Fans have expressed frustration over the faulty online ticketing system for the IPL final. When someone accesses the ticketing app, it shows thousands of people ahead in the queue. Even after waiting for hours, many are unable to purchase tickets. Fans argue that in an era where the country boasts of ‘Digital India’, such a poor online ticketing system is disappointing. They suggest that some portion of the tickets should have been made available offline as well.

Due to the IPL final, the movement of chartered flights at Ahmedabad airport is expected to increase. On average, the airport sees around 20 chartered flights daily, but this number is expected to rise to around 40 today. Additionally, the one-way airfare from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad has crossed ₹26,000, with RCB flags flooding in.
