Influencer dramatises accident, causes traffic jam for brand shoot in Ahmedabad, complaint filed
A social media influencer in Ahmedabad landed in legal trouble while shooting for a brand. Parth Parmar allegedly created a fake accident scene near the city's HL College in Navrangpura, causing traffic in the area. Taking note of the same, a complaint was filed by police against Parmar and two others.
In the video, Parmar is seen shooting a video at an ‘accident’ site, which later turns into a promotion for an education firm.
Reportedly, no prior permission was obtained from the authorities, and the shoot was carried out amid regular traffic, leading to congestion and inconvenience for commuters. After the video came to light of B Division traffic police, they have registered a complaint against Parmar and two others.
The complaint was registered under the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) section 45 and 285, and the Motor Vehicles Act (MV) section 122 and 177. The police also seized the car and bike that were used in the shooting.
