Indian Army jawan from Gujarat stabbed to death by railway attendant near Bikarner

An Indian Army jawan from Gujarat posted in Udhampur was stabbed to death by a train attendant on board the Jammu Tawi–Sabarmati Express late on Sunday night.
The victim, Jigar Kumar Chaudhary, had boarded the Sabarmati Express at Firozpur in Punjab to visit his family in Sabarmati, Gujarat.
Around 11 pm, near Lunkaransar station, Chaudhary was involved in a brawl on the train with a few train attendants over a bedsheet, as per reports.
Meanwhile, a coach attendant allegedly attacked Jigar with a knife.
The severely injured soldier was rushed to PBM Trauma Centre, but he was declared dead on arrival.
GRP Circle Inspector Anand Gila said, “The incident took place on the night of November 2, around 11 pm, on the Firozpur–Sabarmati Express that had departed from Lonkaran railway station. A quarrel broke out between the coach attendant and the soldier, following which the attendant stabbed him, leading to his death. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.”
Jigar Kumar, 27, was serving in the Indian Army and was returning home on leave. His family said he was a responsible and dedicated soldier, married just two years ago.
Following the incident, his family travelled from Gujarat to Bikaner. Upon receiving news of the tragedy, Army officials dispatched a team to investigate, and the soldier’s death has left the force in mourning.
