In 3 days, 51 kids separated from parents at Kankaria Carnival, reunited later

More than 2,000 police personnel have been deployed and three high-tech control rooms have been set up to ensure law and order during Kankaria Carnival 2025, in Ahmedabad.

Advanced surveillance measures, including CCTV networks and drone monitoring, have been put in place.

Police officials said the control rooms are directly connected to the CCTV network, allowing continuous monitoring of the carnival area. Six drone cameras are also being used for real-time surveillance.

Over the last three days, as many as 51 children were separated from their parents in the melee. The Missing Cell of the Ahmedabad Police successfully traced all the children and reunited them with their families.

In addition, police recovered and returned lost valuables, including mobile phones and wallets, to their owners.

Authorities said the action plan has helped prevent stampede-like situations and ensured smooth crowd management during the carnival.
