IMFL worth ₹9 lakh seized in Balasinor highway liquor raid, two arrested

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Gujarat State Monitoring Cell (SMC) conducted a major raid near Virpur Gam highway, close to Dev Chowkdi and Dungripura gam patiya in Balasinor, seizing a large consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) that was being illegally transported.
A staggering 2,605 bottles of IMFL worth ₹ 9 lakh were recovered. Additionally, a vehicle valued at ₹12 lakh and two mobile phones worth ₹10,000 were seized. Apart from that ₹1,050 was also recovered from the accused, taking the total value of the confiscated items (muddamal) to ₹ 21.11 lakh.
The police apprehended two individuals from the scene: Ajay Jivabhai Rathod of Lakhan Gam in Madhya Pradesh, and Jitendra Kailashbhai Dakle of Chichali in Madhya Pradesh.
Both accused were handed over to the Balasinor Taluka Police Station for further investigation. Three other individuals involved in the illicit transportation of liquor have been named as wanted accused: Vikash Hanuman Bishnoi, Shailesh Jain of Dungarpur in Rajasthan and Mukesh Balram Makwana of Ghodapati, Madhya Pradesh.
According to police, all three are suspected to be key operatives in the illegal IMFL distribution network.
