IMD issues press release, heavy rainfall to hit Telangana, Odisha and coastal areas of Karnataka

Heavy rainfall over Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch is likely to fall between July 25 and July 27.

After heavy seasonal rainfall hit Gujarat, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted heavy rainfall in Telangana, Odisha, and coastal Karnataka for the next 24 hours. Telangana is expected to experience heavy rain for the next few days. Light to moderate rain is likely to fall over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, south Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe during July 25-27.

Rainfall in Northwest India

Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and western areas of Uttar Pradesh are likely to witness rainfall from July 25-29. Himachal Pradesh, eastern areas of UP, western areas of Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive rainfall between July 25 and July 29. 

Central India rainfall

The Vidarbha region and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive widespread light to moderate rainfall from July 25-28 and very heavy rainfall on July 26-27. Whereas the western and eastern Madhya Pradesh are likely to receive rainfall on July 25-26 and July 26-28, respectively.

Showers in West India

Konkan coast, Goa, and coastal Maharashtra are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall and heavy to very heavy rainfall from July 25-29. Heavy rainfall over Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch is likely to fall between July 25 and July 27.

Northeast rains

Eastern states are also likely to witness light to moderately heavy rainfall starting July 25. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya from July 25-29. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are likely to receive rain on July 25, 28, and 29.
