IMD forecasts unseasonal rain in Gujarat, thunderstorms likely in several districts

Amid intense summer heat, Gujarat is likely to witness unseasonal rainfall over the next few days, bringing partial relief from rising temperatures.
According to India Meteorological Department, a western disturbance has become active, which may trigger unseasonal rain accompanied by thunderstorms across various parts of the state over the next two to three days. The change in weather is also expected to bring down temperatures by 2-3°C.
Rain forecast for next three days
March 29: Rain likely in Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Morbi, Surendranagar, and Rajkot
March 30: Banaskantha, Dahod, Mahisagar, Kutch, Sabarkantha, and Aravalli may receive rainfall
March 31: North Gujarat and border areas including Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, and Dahod are expected to witness rain
Light to moderate rainfall conditions may continue in some parts of the state even after this period.
The forecast has raised concerns among farmers, as sudden weather changes, strong winds, and unseasonal rain during peak summer could damage standing crops.
