IMD forecasts unseasonal rain in Gujarat again this April

Amid continuously changing weather conditions in Gujarat, concerns have risen for both farmers and residents. According to the weather department, the impact of a western disturbance may bring unseasonal rainfall to various parts of the state on April 7. There is also a possibility of increased wind speeds in coastal areas.
As per India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, districts likely to experience rainfall on April 7 include Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Morbi, Kutch, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Dahod, Panchmahal, Aravalli, and Mahisagar.
Due to this weather system, wind speeds over the sea are expected to rise. As a precaution, authorities have advised fishermen not to venture into the sea on April 6 and 7. Alerts have also been issued for port areas.
Currently, cities like Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are recording normal temperatures around 35°C. Because of the cloudy and rainy conditions, there will not be a significant rise in temperature over the next two days. However, once the rain passes, temperatures are expected to rise again from April 8, with intense heat likely in the second week of April.
Frequent weather changes and the forecast of unseasonal rain have raised concerns among farmers about potential damage to crops. Authorities have also advised farmers to move harvested crops to safe locations to prevent losses.
