Husband kills wife three months after marriage in Sarkhej, Ahmedabad
A newly married woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in the Sarkhej area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The victim, Rasita Pargi, was originally from Surwan village in Banswara district of Rajasthan.
The accused, Mehul Munia, allegedly attacked his wife with a knife, causing a fatal injury to her neck. The incident took place late at night while the victim was sleeping.
She had married Mehul Munia only three months ago. After their marriage, the couple came to Ahmedabad along with Mehul's father, Lalchand, in search of work and better employment opportunities.
According to police and family members, Rasita, her husband Mehul, and father-in-law Lalchand were sleeping on the roof of their house in Sarkhej on the night of the incident.
Lalchand said he saw Rasita lying in a pool of blood with a serious neck injury. At the same time, he noticed his son Mehul jumping from the roof and running away from the scene.
Family members immediately arranged for medical help and rushed Rasita to Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. After reaching Ahmedabad, victim’s father filed a complaint against Mehul with Sarkhej Police.
