A case of hooliganism was reported from the Khokhra area of east Ahmedabad, where a minor dispute over payment for snacks escalated into violence and vandalism, even in the presence of police. The incident occurred on Bhaipura Road, creating panic among local residents.

According to police, Rajesh Verma, who runs Jai Ambe Fast Food stall on Bhaipura Road, got into an argument with Montu Koshti and his associates after they consumed maska bun and cigarettes and allegedly disputed the bill amount.

The verbal altercation soon turned violent, with the accused and his companions vandalising the shop.

A police team from Khokhra Police Station rushed to the spot after receiving information. However, despite police presence, both sides allegedly indulged in a scuffle, further aggravating the situation.

Following the incident, police have intensified patrolling in the area to prevent any further breach of peace.
