Heavy rains soak South Gujarat, Ahmedabad may experience light to moderate rain on October 27: IMD

The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and surface winds of 30-40 kmph at isolated places across South, Central, and North Gujarat on October 27.
Ahmedabad city and its surrounding areas are likely to experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activity, with minimum temperatures around 24°C.
Rainfall forecast for October 27
North Gujarat districts, including Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, and Aravalli, are expected to see light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms. Isolated showers are likely in Ahmedabad and Kheda.
In South Gujarat, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli may witness rain showers. In Saurashtra, isolated rainfall is expected in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Botad, and Kutch.
The heavy rainfall is attributed to a trough from an upper air cyclonic circulation linked to a depression over the east-central Arabian Sea, currently located 760 km west-southwest of Mumbai and 970 km west-northwest of Mangalore, Karnataka. The depression has been moving southwest at 13 kmph over the past six hours and is expected to continue moving southwest, then south-southwest, across the east-central Arabian Sea in the next 24 hours.
