As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), 31 districts in Gujarat have experienced heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.

In Amreli district, continuous rainfall has persisted for the second consecutive day, leading to severe waterlogging across the region. In Savarkundla, water has flooded roads and fields, leaving farmers devastated as their crops have been washed away by the relentless downpour.

Villages like Gadhkada, Savarkundla, Bagasara, Jafarabad, Khambha Nesdi, Nanudi, and Umariya witnessed unseasonal rain. In Junagadh, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded, 2.24 inches in just two hours, intensifying local flooding and affecting normal life.

According to IMD’s forecast for Wednesday, scattered thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall are expected in the districts of Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Anand, Kheda, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, and Valsad.
