Heavy rainfall predicted for six Gujarat districts including Navsari
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers predicted for Tuesday in Ahmedabad

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Dwarka and Kutch on Tuesday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers on Tuesday in–
North Gujarat: Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand,
Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar
South Gujarat: Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli
Saurashtra-Kutch: Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar,Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch and Diu.
Very heavy rainfall was at Tapi, the Dangs and Kutch on Monday.
Moreover, heavy rainfall was at Surat, Mahisagar, Navsari,Bharuch, Aravalli and Bhavnagar.
Rainfall across 209 talukas
According to the report from the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), Gandhinagar, light to heavy rainfall was recorded across 209 talukas of 33 districts in Gujarat over the past 24 hours (until Monday 6 am). During this period, the highest rainfall—over 6 inches—was recorded in Dolvan taluka of Tapi district, while Subir in Dang and Bhuj in Kutch also received more than 5 inches of rain.
Additionally, more than 4 inches of rainfall was recorded in Bardoli and Palsana of Surat, Nakhatrana in Kutch, and Vallabhipur in Bhavnagar. Vyara, Vansda, Balasinor, Waghai, and Meghraj saw over 3 inches of rainfall. Furthermore, 18 talukas received more than 2 inches, 48 talukas saw more than 1 inch, and 130 talukas recorded less than 1 inch of rain.
As of 6 am on Monday, the state has received an average of 46.21% of the season’s total expected rainfall. Region-wise, South Gujarat leads with 50.82%, followed by Kutch at 50.35%, Saurashtra at 45.41%, East-Central Gujarat at 44.11%, and North Gujarat with the lowest at 41.31%.
As per SEOC’s update till 8 am, the Narmada Dam is currently filled to 48.15% of its capacity, while 206 other reservoirs have reached 54.50% of their total storage capacity. Due to heavy rainfall, 31 dams are on high alert, 19 are under alert status, and 18 have been issued warnings.
Since the onset of the monsoon on June 1, 2025, until date, a total of 4,205 citizens have been relocated to safer locations due to rain-related risks, and 684 individuals have been rescued. The administration has deployed 13 NDRF teams and 20 SDRF teams, with an additional 2 NDRF and 13 SDRF teams kept on reserve at headquarters.
Moreover, the IMD has issued a warning advising fishermen along Gujarat’s coastal areas not to venture into the sea from Monday to Thursday.
