Heatwave relief? Unseasonal rainfall likely in Gujarat on May 11

Amid the scorching temperatures and heatwave in Gujarat, unseasonal rains are likely to show up between May 12 and May 15 in the state.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain and thundershowers are likely in south Gujarat’s Narmada, Tapi, the Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, and Daman on May 11.
On May 12, Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Chhotaudepur, Narmada,
Tapi, the Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman Dadra Nagar Haveli are likely to witness light rain.
The unseasonal rains are likely to continue in areas of south and north Gujarat till May 15, as per the Met Department.
On May 9, the temperature across Ahmedabad remained as high as 43°C.
Districts including Amreli, Vadodara, Bhuj, Chhotaudepur, Deesa, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, and Surendranagar witnessed temperatures over 40°C.
