Nayak, a hacker from Haryana, committed fraud by hacking into the website of a travel company’s agent and making hotel-flight bookings without paying the actual amounts.

He breached the security of such vulnerable websites and installed bugs in them, which allowed him to alter the payment process at his will.

Then Nayak sold off these bookings to his customers and made nearly ₹7.35 lakh through this fraudulent technique.

The cyber crime department is also on the lookout for people who booked hotel-flight tickets through the hacker.

They also seized many devices through which Nayak carried out his hacking.
