Gujarat’s Devbhoomi Dwarka sees highest rainfall in last 24 hours red alert in 13 districts

After a long pause, the monsoon has once again resumed its heavy spell across Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, rainfall has been recorded in 168 talukas of the state. In Devbhumi Dwarka, heavy downpour continued for the fourth consecutive day, leading to a flood-like situation.

10.75 inches of rainfall in Kalyanpur

In 24 hours, Kalyanpur in Devbhumi Dwarka recorded the highest rainfall of 10.75 inches. Due to the heavy rains, a flood-like situation has arisen in Kalyanpur, with city roads submerged in water. The strong gusts of wind along with the torrential showers have caused waterlogging in many areas.

In Kalyanpur, Paneli, Bhatia, Raval, Tankaria, and other villages, good rainfall has brought joy to farmers. The showers have proven to be a boon for crops like groundnut. Overall, Kalyanpur taluka received widespread good rainfall.

Apart from Kalyanpur, Dwarka received 6.02 inches, Porbandar 3.94 inches, Ranavav 2.24 inches, Mangrol in Junagadh 3.74 inches, Sutrapada in Gir Somnath 3.35 inches, Una 2.91 inches, Veraval 2.28 inches, and Gir Gadhada 1.26 inches of rainfall. Overall, around 41 talukas in the state recorded between 1 and 10 inches of rainfall.
