Gujarat University staff recruitment exam: Over 150 objections raised after answer key released
More than 150 objections have been raised after Gujarat University released the provisional answer key for its administrative staff recruitment exam. The preliminary examination was conducted on March 14 and 15 for 119 posts, including senior clerk and junior clerk, with around 5,500 candidates appearing for the exam.
Candidates were allowed to submit objections online after the answer key was published. According to officials, more than 70 objections were received for a single question. In total, over 150 objection applications were received.
Sources said that errors were found in at least two questions. One question reportedly had two correct answers, while another had a typographical mistake. Some candidates also alleged that the answer for one question was incorrect.
The university stated that experts will review all objections. After verification, the final answer key will be released, likely by Monday or Tuesday. The results will be announced only after the final answer key is published.
Meanwhile, some candidates have raised concerns about fairness in the recruitment process. There are allegations that arrangements were made to favour certain candidates. There are also claims of temporary employees of the university applying for the posts and appearing for the examination.
Candidates have demanded transparency in the evaluation process. They requested the university to carefully check all objections and publish the corrected answer key to avoid confusion and ensure equal opportunity for all applicants.
Officials said that after the final answer key is released, the next stage of the recruitment process will begin. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding results and further selection procedures.
