Gujarat University gets its first female Vice Chancellor Dr Neerja Gupta
Dr Gupta to succeed Prof Himanshu Pandya after his term as VC ends

After 73 years of the establishment of Gujarat University, Dr Neerja Gupta has been selected as the first female vice chancellor (VC). The term of the current VC Prof Himanshu Pandya's term is coming to an end.
A search committee consisting of three members appointed the new VC of the state's largest university. The University Grants Commission (UGC) appointed the committee of Dr Ram Shankar Kureel for the further processing of the appointment of the VC.
Dr Gupta is from Ahmedabad
Dr Neerja Gupta, who served as the VC of Madhya Pradesh's Sanchi University, is from Ahmedabad and worked as an advisor at the international universities and programmes of Gujarat University, as per her social media profile.
