Gujarat sizzles as three cities record scorching highs of 41°C
Bhuj, Rajkot and Surendrangar recorded hottest cities in Gujarat
As the Holi festivities concluded in the state, the onset of summer has begun with mercury soaring over 37°C in 12 cities.
The highest temperature has been recorded in Kutch’s Bhuj with 41.6°C, followed by Saurashtra region’s Rajkot with 41.1°C, and 41°C in Surendranagar.

Gujarat cities with highest temperatures
Cities including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Daman, Diu, Gandhinagar, Kandla, and Surat clocked temperatures north of 37°C.
As Ahmedabad recorded 39.9°C temperature today, it was 2.7°C more than the average temperature.
The Met department has forecast that the temperature is likely to hover between 38-40°C in five days. The mornings will be warmer with increasing humidity levels.
In the evening, in cities like Rajkot, and Surendranagar, hot and dry winds (loo) have been witnessed.
