Weather conditions across Gujarat are beginning to signal a gradual farewell to winter, with a spell of what meteorologists describe as “warm winter” setting in ahead of the Mahashivratri festival later this month.

After nearly 10 days of fluctuating temperatures accompanied by cloudy conditions, the state has now entered a phase marked by steadily rising temperatures. While nights and early mornings continue to feel cool, afternoons have begun to turn noticeably warmer, indicating the seasonal transition.

Weather experts said temperatures have been increasing consistently over the past 48 hours despite intermittent cloud cover. No major changes in weather patterns are expected over the coming week, they added.

Over the past 24 hours, minimum temperatures in Kutch district have ranged between 13 and 15° Celsius, while the rest of the state recorded lows between 16° and 20°. Maximum temperatures across Gujarat have remained between 27° and 34°.

The current conditions suggest that winter is in its final phase, with early signs of summer heat likely to be felt within the next 10 days as daytime temperatures continue to rise.
