Gujarat police recruitment exams postponed due to NEET exam date clash

The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has postponed the written examinations scheduled for June 21 for various technical cadre posts, including Wireless PSI and Head Constable Driver-Mechanic.

The exams for Police Sub Inspector (Wireless), Technical Operator, Police Sub Inspector (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver-Mechanic (Grade-1) were earlier scheduled to be conducted on June 21, 2026. However, the recruitment board decided to defer the exams as the national-level NEET medical entrance examination is also set to be held on the same day.

Officials said the decision was taken to avoid inconvenience for candidates appearing in multiple competitive exams. The board has not announced fresh dates yet and said the revised schedule will be released later on its official website.
