Gujarat police issue lookout notice for nine accused in US immigration forgery case

The State Monitoring Cell (SMC) in Gandhinagar has issued a lookout notice for nine absconders, accused of forgery by the US immigration services.
All nine accused are to be presented in the Ahmedabad Rural CJM (chief judicial magistrate) Court.
The case dates back to January 2022, when four family members from Dingucha village in Gandhinagar district froze to death while crossing the Canada-US border.
Subsequently, an FIR was lodged with Sola High Court Police in December 2022 against Bharat Patel and Keyur Patel for forging visas, passports, and other documents.
SMC later nabbed Keyur from Mehsana’s Visnagar on December 13, 2022.
In their pursuit of the other nine accused, the SMC has also released a landline number (079-23254288) where one can inform their whereabouts or details.
All nine accused have been notified by the SMC to present themselves in court in 30 days.
