Gujarat paramedical colleges struggle to fill seats as admissions move to 7th round

For the first time, Gujarat’s paramedical admission committee has been forced to conduct a 7th round after seats in government colleges remained vacant even after six rounds of admissions based on Class 12 science board results.
Students can now fill their choices online until November 22, while private colleges continue to face over 33,000 vacant seats.
152 government seats still vacant in Nursing, Physiotherapy
Despite five common rounds for government and private institutes and a sixth round exclusively for government seats, 152 seats remained unfilled across key paramedical programmes:
Auxiliary Nursing: 62
Audiology: 9
Optometry: 8
Occupational Therapy: 4
Physiotherapy: 43
BSc Nursing: 10
General Nursing: 56
To participate in Round 7, students must submit their online consent and complete choice-filling by November 22.
Private colleges, meanwhile, have been allowed to offer admissions under the vacant quota until November 30, the deadline extended by the Nursing Council – with the possibility of further extension
