Gujarat issues notice for Revenue Talati Recruitment, check details here

A notification has been issued by the Revenue Department of the Government of Gujarat for the Revenue Talati recruitment exam, which is being conducted by the Gujarat Government after many years.
According to this notification, the exam will be conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board (GSSSB) under new rules, which will be implemented as the Revenue Talati, Class 3, Competitive Exam Rules, 2025.
As per the new rules, each District Collector will inform the Revenue Department about the required vacant posts, and the Revenue Department will then inform the GSSSB, which will organize the exam.
The exam will be conducted in two stages for the recruitment of 2,389 Revenue Talatis in the state. These stages will be a Preliminary Test and a Main Exam.
All candidates will have to pay a fee for this exam; however, those who score 40% or more marks in the Preliminary Test will have their fee refunded. Graduates and candidates who appeared in their final-year exams are also eligible to apply. The minimum age limit for candidates is 20 years.
The Main Exam will consist of three papers:
English language – 100 marks
Gujarati language – 100 marks
General studies – 150 marks
The Gujarati language paper will include essay writing, essay review, summarisation, thought development, letter writing, report writing, translation, and Gujarati grammar. The English paper will follow a similar format. Each of these language papers will carry 100 marks and have a duration of 3 hours.
The General Studies paper will be descriptive and carry 150 marks. The medium will be Gujarati, and the duration will be 3 hours.
Topics will include:
(a) History of Gujarat and India
(b) Cultural Heritage (with emphasis on Gujarat)
(c) Geography of Gujarat and India
(d) Science and Technology
(e) Important Regional, National, and International Events, including Current Affairs
(f) Indian Political System and Constitution
(g) Indian Economy and Planning
(h) Public Administration and Governance, including Government Schemes
(i) Discipline and Ethics in Public Service
