Gujarat Home Department appoints 8 new IPS officers
To ease the burden on the Gujarat Police, the Home Department of Gujarat has announced the eight new Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) positions.
Eight new IPS officers from the 2021-22 Gujarat cadre have been appointed to these posts. The officers, who belong to the 2021 and 2022 batches, have been posted to eight locations.
The new ASP positions have been created in the following areas: Dhandhuka, Dhoraji, Lalpur, Visavadar, Danta, Dehegam, Dhari and Zaghadiya.
The eight IPS officers, after completing their training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, have been assigned to these positions. Notably, four of the officers are women.
