Gujarat heavy rains: floods ravage roads, heavy losses expected
Flowing vehicles, people, and cattle reported on the roads of Junagadh
Ahmedabad, Navsari, Valsad, Dwarka, Bhavnagar and other districts drenched in rain

Gujarat has recorded another round of heavy rainfall today. Navsari, Gir Somnath, and Junagadh are experiencing heavy rains in the state. Junagadh and Girnar hills received four inches of rain in four hours. Bhavnath witnessed a cloud burst, and as a result, the entire Junagadh district has been flooded owing to heavy rains.
Heavy downpour in Ahmedabad
In the evening, SG Highway, Vejalpur, Prahlad Nagar, Satellite, Shivranjani, Nehrunagar, and Shyamal crossroads in Ahmedabad witnessed heavy rainfall. Poor visibility was also reported in parts of the city due to the rain.
Junagadh flooded
The heavy rains have led to waterlogging and floods where people, vehicles, and animals were seen drowning and taken away by the water on city roads. Vegetation was also washed away. Sakkarbaug zoo in Junagadh was also waterlogged. According to locals, such terrible conditions were never seen before in the district.
Unfortunately, cattle were seen flowing and drowning on the roads of Junagadh. As many as 10 buffaloes were seen stranded in the waters flowing from the park on Motibaug Road.
Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel is reportedly keeping a watch on the situation in Junagadh.
Navsari rains
Heavy rains in Navsari have resulted in waterlogging at many locations. In a bizarre incident, gas cylinders were seen washed away in the running waters on the roads of Navsari district. Navsari witnessed nine inches of rain in two hours today.
