Gujarat HC dismisses PIL seeking free entry to garba events on Vadodara Municipal Corporation grounds

The petitioner submitted before the court, if they charge one rupees from event organisers my request is that the Vadodara citizens get free entry in those grounds which are owned by Vadodara Municipal Corporation.
The court said that the organisers are spending so much money in organising the event, so how they would get free entry, people get food and other facilities there. Organisation of this event is not by corporation. Events are organised by the private persons, they are floating tickets people are buying it. The corporation has nothing to do with this.
The court asked the petitioner “Are you a Gujarati or an outsider's. To this petitioner said that, I am a Gujarati. The court told then you know why they are doing it. This is your heart and soul. 'Garba is heart and soul of each and every Gujarati',” so if state or corporation is doing something to promote the local culture, local dance which is very close to heart of every people than how a Gujarati can oppose this.
The petitioner argued that this is the main problem every year there is an estimated loss of almost ₹600 crore to the VMC. Court replied saying VMC should be bothered about it , not you (petitioner). The petitioner said that I am bothered because I am citizen of Vadodara.
The high court said that the corporation is non-profitable organisation. It's not for profit purposes.
The petitioner argued that the Akota Stadium is always given to Beta. Beta is the organiser in Akota Stadium. Now that stadium, if I want to take it for a particular event, it cost me lakhs.
To this high court said that's then it becomes a personal problem not a public interest. What you (petitioner) is trying to say is that organisers are selected in a biased manner, then that becomes a matter were your personal interest is involved.
The high court said to the petitioners as soon as you say, if I (petitioner) have to organise an event had to pay handsome amount and a particular organiser gets it at a cheap price. It's universal. You said they are giving it universally to all at Re 1 which is a token amount they charge.
The high court said that, please try to understand we are in a PIL jurisdiction, this is not a forum to agitate this grievances. This not a manch were you can speak. It is a place where law takes its own course.
