Gujarat govt reshuffles Secretariat setup, transfers and promotes over 80 officers

The Gujarat government’s General Administration Department (GAD) has announced a major administrative reshuffle in the state Secretariat, issuing transfer and promotion orders for more than 80 officers.

As part of the restructuring, several Section Officers and Class-2 officers have been promoted to the post of Deputy Secretary Class-1 (Level-10). Following the promotions, fresh appointments have been made in key departments including Home, Revenue, Health, Roads and Buildings, and Science and Technology.

The government has also assigned additional charge to certain officers alongside their existing responsibilities to ensure administrative continuity in various departments.

In a parallel move, around 12 Deputy Secretary Class-1 officers have been transferred across different departments as part of the latest bureaucratic overhaul.
