Earlier in the day, names of 26 ministers for the new cabinet were announced. Later, at the swearing-in ceremony held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, a total of 21 ministers took oath. Four senior leaders — Rushikesh Patel (Visnagar), Kunvarji Bavaliya (Jasdan), Parshottam Solanki (Bhavnagar Rural), and Kanu Desai (Pardi) — did not take oath as their ministerial status was to remain unchanged.

Harsh Sanghavi has been elevated as the Deputy Chief Minister in the new setup. The new cabinet includes Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi, eight cabinet-rank ministers, three ministers of state with independent charge, and 13 ministers of state.

Meanwhile, the first cabinet meeting concluded smoothly in Gandhinagar, marking the start of administrative changes within the state secretariat. Work is currently underway to update the nameplates of ministers at their respective offices. Reports indicate that the nameplates of Kunvarji Bavaliya and Kanu Desai have already been removed, with new ones to be installed once the portfolio allocation is made official.
