The Gujarat government has spent ₹108 crore on advertisements in social media and print media, as informed in the state assembly. The opposition has alleged that this money was used for publicity instead of solving public issues.

According to the information shared, the government used social media platforms, print media, and influencers to promote its work. Ministers and their PA-PS staff were also instructed to actively campaign on social media. Different departments were asked to create social media pages to highlight their achievements.

The opposition claims that the law and order situation in Gujarat has become weak. They also say unemployment is increasing and inflation is making life difficult for common people. They argue that instead of focusing on these problems, the government is spending public money on advertisements to gain praise.

The government has stated that advertisements are used to inform people about the work and schemes of different departments. However, opposition leaders question why such large amounts of public money are being spent on marketing if the government is already doing good work.
