Gujarat government announces IAS transfers, additional charge appointments

The Gujarat government on Monday issued a notification announcing transfers and additional charge appointments of several IAS officers in the state administration.

As per the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Dr Ratankanvar H Gadhavicharan, IAS (2009 batch), currently serving as Commissioner of Health (Rural) and Ex-Officio Mission Director of the National Health Mission, Gandhinagar, has been given additional charge as Commissioner of the Nutrition Mission, Gandhinagar, until further orders.

In another major change, B A Shah, IAS (2009 batch), Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records, Gandhinagar, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Land Reforms and Ex-Officio Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Gandhinagar.

Following Shah’s transfer, Ardra Agrawal, IAS (2007 batch), Secretary to Government in the General Administration Department (Planning), has been assigned additional charge as Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records, Gandhinagar.

The notification further stated that Arvind V, IAS (2014 batch), has been appointed as Joint Secretary to Government in the Finance Department (Budget), Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.

He will also hold additional charge as Additional Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad, relieving Dr. Prashant Jilova from the additional responsibility.
