Gujarat FRC imposes ₹5,000-₹25,000 fines on 9 schools in Ahmedabad zone over irregularities

The Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) of the Ahmedabad zone has imposed fines ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 on nine private schools, including seven from Ahmedabad. The fines have been levied for failing to submit affidavits or applications regarding fees within the stipulated time.
Under the state government’s Fee Regulation Act for private schools, the Ahmedabad zone includes Ahmedabad and 11 other districts. The FRC of the Ahmedabad zone has fined nine private schools, including seven from Ahmedabad, for various irregularities.
Vidyavihar (Class 1 to 8) has been fined ₹10,000, and Little Bird School has also been fined ₹10,000 by the Ahmedabad District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) Tejas Vidyavihar in Bopal.
In Ahmedabad, Sagar Primary School in Naroda has been fined ₹5,000, J P Primary School in Dariapur ₹8,000, Vikas Primary School in Vatva ₹5,000, Satya Academy English School in Ramol ₹25,000, and Shree Shiv Shishu Vihar School in Ramol ₹25,000.
Schools in Bhuj, Gandhinagar fined
Additionally, Surya Varsani Academy in Bhuj has been fined ₹15,000, and Swaminarayan International School in Adalaj, Gandhinagar, has been fined ₹15,000.
These fines were imposed for irregularities, including failure to submit applications for fee determination within the stipulated time frame. The FRC has also ordered the schools to pay the fines within the prescribed period.
