Gujarat approves 10 new IAS study centres in 10 cities, find out admission criteria

The Gujarat government has approved the establishment of IAS (Indian Administrative Service) study centres in 10 cities, across seven universities and three government colleges.
Admissions to these centres will be based on a common entrance exam. Each centre will have 100 seats, making a total of 1,000 seats across the state. No tuition fees will be charged, though students will be required to deposit ₹2,500, which will be refundable. A minimum of 75% attendance will be mandatory.
This initiative has been taken in response to the growing number of students opting for IAS preparation.
Admissions and eligibility
The admission test will be a 200-mark General Studies examination. Registrations will remain open until September 15, with a fee of ₹300.
Eligibility criteria include a minimum age of 20 years and a maximum age of 32 years. The candidate must be a graduate, either from a university in Gujarat or a resident of the state.
Merit lists will be prepared based on exam results. Three percent of seats will be reserved for differently-abled candidates, while category candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit.
