Gujarat Congress launches Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod movement from Oct 3 to 10

With the end of Navratri festivities in Gujarat, the political battleground is now set to take centre stage. To expose alleged irregularities in elections, Gujarat Congress has launched ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod’ (vote thief should leave the throne) movement from October 3 to 10 across the state.

Accusing the Election Commission of India of becoming a “puppet of the Bharatiya Janata Party” while failing to uphold fairness and impartiality in the elections, Gujarat Pradesh Congress president Amit Chavda mentioned that Rahul Gandhi’s concerns about “something was indeed going wrong in the elections” have turned out to be true.

In Gujarat, after reviewing the records of 2.40 lakh voters across 84 constituencies, more than 30,000 voters were identified as suspicious, duplicate, or fake, with evidence to support this.

As part of the movement, more than 5 crore signatures will be collected nationwide in a movement to protect democracy.

Leaders and workers of the state Congress will actively participate in this campaign to expose vote rigging. They will also reach out to households across the state, identifying fake, duplicate, or suspicious voters at the family level.
