Gujarat CM, cabinet leaves for Ayodhya Ram temple visit

The Gujarat state cabinet, led by chief minister Bhupendra Patel and accompanied by speaker Shankar Chaudhary, has set out for Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh today. Also joining the delegation are figures such as BJP’s chief whip Balkrishna Shukla and deputy whip, who departed from Ahmedabad airport early this morning.
This marks the first visit of the Gujarat state cabinet to Ayodhya following the ‘prana Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram’s idol, the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya that was held on Jan 22. Sources also indicated that after paying homage to Lord Rama in Ayodhya, the cabinet will proceed to Lucknow.
The ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya took place on Jan 22 in Ayodhya, with prime minister Narendra Modi performing the sanctification rituals. Alongside him were prominent figures including RSS president Mohan Bhagwat, UP governor Anandiben Patel, and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Earlier, on Nov 25, 2023, chief minister Bhupendra Patel inspected the land allocated by the Uttar Pradesh government for Gujarat Bhawan in Shahnawaz Pur. Additionally, he inaugurated the Gujarat Tourism office in Ayodhya, further strengthening the cultural ties between the two states.
