Gujarat cadre female IAS officer accused of fake disability quota

Amid the controversy surrounding IAS probationer Puja Khedkar’s caste and disability certificates in Maharashtra, the Gujarat government has also ordered verification of disability certificates of four IAS officers. Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with news about a fake disability quota certificate submitted by a female IAS officer from Saurashtra.
Though this issue has gone viral on social media and in media reports, there has been no official confirmation or denial of the news from the authorities.
The female IAS officer allegedly secured her position through the reserved category for the physically handicapped, specifically in the deaf-mute category. However, it has been alleged that she can speak and hear without any apparent disability.
This has raised concern regarding the legitimacy of her claim to the reserved category.
Attempts were made to contact the female officer by phone and message, but she could not be reached. Top state government officials also chose to remain silent on the issue.
Opposition leader Amit Chavda has demanded verification of the IAS certificates to ensure transparency.
