Gujarat BJP chief says Rahul Gandhi doesn’t understand women as ‘he is bachelor’

Gujarat BJP president Jagdish Viswakarna reportedly questioned the Congress and other Opposition parties for not supporting the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill in Lok Sabha. Viswakarma addressed a public meeting in Vansda taluka of Navsari district, where he said that PM Modi was taking a historic step for women empowerment and the Congress and Opposition parties tried to prevent women from entering public life by stalling the Bill for many years, adding that crores of women will never forgive congress and its allied parties.
As per reports, he also called Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, ‘Rahul baba’ and added that he doesn’t understand women since he is a bachelor (kunwara) and has not done chhar phera. Congress has stopped India’s daughters from becoming self-reliant, they have only used tribals as a vote bank for the past six decades, while the BJP government is working in 52 talukas where tribals are in the majority, he said reportedly.
Adding to that, he said, under the Vanbandhan Kalyan Yojana, South Gujarat has been gifted new medical colleges, which will open new career doors for the tribal youth, and said how the BJP has worked on the issues in tribal dominated areas where drinking water and power supply for agricultural fields were major problems.
The 131st constitutional amendment, meant to provide one-third women’s reservation in the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assemblies, and it fell short of the two-third majority.
