Gujarat BJP announces district presidents for Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and two other districts

Amid the nationwide outrage over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, political activity in Gujarat had relatively slowed down.

However, in a surprise move on Tuesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party announced new district-level presidents in Ahmedabad city, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Porbandar and Vadodara.

District party presidents announced:

Kheda- Nayana Patel 

Vadodara- Rasik Prajapati

Porbandar- Dr Chetna Ruparel (Tiwari)

Panchmahal- Mayank Desai

Gandhinagar- Ashish Dave

Ahmedabad- Prerak Shah

The BJP appointed Shah (40) as the new president of the Ahmedabad BJP replacing MLA Amit Shah, who held the position for the past two years. A party meeting was held on Tuesday where former party president Jitu Vaghani was announced Shah's name.

The long-delayed cabinet expansion is expected anytime soon.
