Gujarat bans drones & firecrackers until May 15

The Gujarat government has banned firecrackers and drones until May 15 amid the India-Pakistan conflict.
Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi wrote on X, “Gujarat: No firecrackers or drones will be allowed in any functions or events until May 15. Kindly cooperate and follow the guidelines.”
Drones prohibited in Gujarat
As per a notification issued earlier on May 6, Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police G S Malik had imposed restrictions on drones unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in identified yellow and red zones in the city for a period of two months from May 7 to July 5, 2025.
In red zones, which are strictly prohibited areas, flying drones or UAVs is not allowed. However, in the remaining yellow and green zones, applicants/operators may log in to the Digital Sky (application) and, subject to the conditions of the uploaded information, obtain permission to fly drones or UAVs.
