The Gujarat Revenue Department has made a second round of transfers for five officers, just 12 days after they were assigned new charges.

The reason for these additional changes remains unclear, but the officers have been moved to new positions before they could even begin at their assigned posts.

On October 25, the state government had issued transfer orders for 79 Class-I officers and granted promotions to 44 Class-II officers. These changes were made before Diwali. However, after the festival, five of these officers were reassigned to different roles.

As per the order on Wednesday (November 6) from the Revenue Department, the Deputy Collector of Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) in the Saurashtra region, Amita Pargi, has now been appointed as the Deputy Collector of Dholera.

Reassigned officers include Anil Goswami, who has been moved from the Taluka Officer of Kheda-Kapadwanj to become the Regional Director of Municipalities in Ahmedabad, Aastha Solanki from Valsad Taluka to become the Superintendent of Stamps in Valsad, and A B Mandori, the District Supply Officer of Mehsana, who has now been appointed as the Special Land Acquisition Officer for the Narmada Project in Radhanpur-1.

Transfer order for the Taluka Officer of Himmatnagar, P Y Goswami, was also changed, and he has now been appointed as the Deputy District Election Officer of Patan.

Lastly, the District Supply Officer of Mahisagar, N B Rathod, has been moved to the RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) office in Gandhinagar as Administrative Officer-III.

In total, these recent changes affect five officers, who have been moved to different posts than originally planned.
