Guj ATS uncovers drug smuggling operations destined for Africa

The Gujarat ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad), after seizing a consignment of MD drugs in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, also seized a huge quantity of Tramadol tablets worth crores from a factory found in Dahej,Gujarat.
Notable revelations have been made in both cases. The consignment of banned Tramadol tablets was to be supplied to terrorist organizations active in African countries through Mundra port.
This network had been operating for the last few months. ATS’s first man and the team conducted a thorough investigation in this case.
Further investigation was carried out in Chhatral and Sarkhej where other drug networks were also discovered.
In the case related to MD drugs, Gujarat ATS’s DY SP S L Chaudhary and his team raided an apartment in Bhiwandi and seized the Mephedrone drug factory . During the interrogation of the arrested accused, it came to light that with the help of Manoj, a resident of Dubai, they were manufacturing MD and supplying it out of India as per his instructions.
It has also come to light that MD drugs worth crores of rupees were sent to India.
