GSEB reschedules class 9-12 exams, to be held after Navratri
The Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) has revised the exam dates for Classes 9 to 12, originally scheduled between September 11 and September 20, due to a clash with the Navratri festival.
The exams will now be conducted from October 3 to October 13, following the conclusion of Navratri on October 2. These dates will align with the examination schedule for Classes 3 to 8, allowing all school-level exams to take place simultaneously.
This change was made based on requests from schools, which had appealed for the exams to be held after Navratri. The GSEB approved the proposal and directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to implement the new schedule accordingly.
Along with the change in exam dates, the syllabus coverage has also been extended. Initially, the exams were to include courses taught from June to August, but now the syllabus will cover the period from June to September.
