GPSSB announces recruitments in health department in Gujarat

The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has announced the start of the recruitment process for more than 2,500 posts in the Health and Administration Department under Panchayat Service Class-3. 

Under this recruitment process, appointments will be made in a total of 4 main cadres. For Female Health Worker, there are 1948 posts, 420 posts for the Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Male), 164 posts of Junior Clerk-cum-Account Clerk, 61 posts of Laboratory Technician will be recruited. In this recruitment, special provision of reserved seats for Divyang candidates are being made.

According to official statistics for the year 2025, there is a severe shortage of staff in the health department of Gujarat. 23% of the posts of doctors and 6% of the posts of nurses are vacant in the state. This recruitment process is being undertaken with the aim of ensuring that health services are not disrupted due to the shortage of para-medical staff, especially in rural areas.

As for how to apply, candidates will have to apply online by visiting the official website of the board, and the facility of payment of examination fee through SBI E-Pay has been provided. This entire process will be completed in a completely transparent manner as per the guidelines. 

As per reports, this recruitment will strengthen health services in all the districts of the state, especially where there is a shortage of more than 25% staff.
