GPSC exam schedule for Classes I and II announced for 2026

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the recruitment examination, which is to be held in 2026.

As per the details released by GPSC, preliminary examinations for 18 different Class I and Class II cadres will be conducted between February and April 2026.

The examinations will cover a wide range of posts across departments.

In the administrative and secretarial services, recruitment will be held for posts such as Confidential Secretary (Class II) and Assistant Administrative Officer (Class II). Technical and specialised services include posts such as MIS Manager (Class I and II), Veterinary Officer (Class II) and Chief Scientific Officer.

In the education and information sectors, exams will be conducted for positions under the Gujarat Education Service, as well as for Director Librarian, Deputy Director of Information and Assistant Industries Commissioner. Other posts include Administrative Officer (Class II) in the Gujarat Fisheries Service and various roles under the General State Service.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official GPSC website for detailed information on examination centres, dates and timings.

Meanwhile, the GPSC Chairman said that a comprehensive examination calendar for various departments scheduled for next year would be announced by the end of January. In a post on social media platform X, he said the commission is currently consulting with different departments, following which the full recruitment calendar will be released.
