Government school teacher arrested in Dholka for harassing a minor boy

The Dholka Town police on Friday arrested a 49-year-old government school teacher for allegedly sexually harassing a 13-year-old minor boy inside a school computer room earlier this week. The accused also reportedly threatened to kill the victim if he disclosed the incident to anyone.
According to police officials, the accused has been identified as Vijaykumar Solanki, a resident of Dholka, originally hailing from Keliyavasana. Solanki was employed as a school teacher located in Dholka town.
The incident took place on 17 June between 8.30 am and 9 am. According to the police, the accused lured the 13-year-old victim to the school's computer room on the pretext of fetching a key. Inside the room, the accused allegedly exposed himself and attempted to grab the boy. The victim managed to break free from his grip and fled the spot. The accused then threatened the minor with dire consequences if he spoke out.
Following a complaint, a case was officially registered at the Dholka Town police station on Friday under Section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Section of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
Following an intensive investigation and accumulation of evidence, the accused teacher was arrested.
Further legal proceedings against the accused are currently underway.
