Gorwa PI, constable slap Ahmedabad lawyer outside court premises in Vadodara

A court session turned dramatic as a police Inspector and a constable from Gorwa slapped a lawyer from Ahmedabad twice outside the court premises, who had come to surrender  in a case of attempt to murder.

Advocate Mohammad Adil Sheikh from Ahmedabad had submitted a surrender application in court for his client Hitesh Gohil. 

After the court proceedings concluded, Gorwa PI C H Asundhara came to take custody of the accused. When the advocate stepped out of the court, he had a heated argument with the PI and constable Jayesh Rabari.

According to the advocate, the surrender application mentioned that the Gorwa Police had assaulted the accused and were demanding money from him. 

Allegedly angered by this accusation, the police attacked the advocate. Outside the court, the PI told the lawyer, “Your job is done,” which led to a verbal clash, and in the heat of the moment, the PI slapped the lawyer, followed by a slap from the constable as well.

Following the incident a large group of lawyers gathered in the court premises, leading to a scuffle between police and lawyers.
