Gas leak at Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals factory in Panchmahal, 25 affected hospitalised

A sudden gas leak at Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals (GFL) factory in Ranjitnagar on Wednesday has left 25 people hospitalised and created panic in the area.

Soon after the incident was reported, the administration and police rushed to the scene. Rajgarh police and district administration teams reached the site. They safely evacuated all factory workers and staff. So far, about 25 people have been reported affected by the gas leak and were shifted to nearby hospitals. Those with serious injuries were being referred to hospitals in Vadodara.

Currently, due to the presence of gas, entering the factory premises is difficult, making it hard to get full details of the situation. However, efforts are underway by the authorities to bring the leakage under control.

Police sources confirmed the incident and said the situation is being closely monitored. Local residents have been urged not to pay heed to rumours and to remain cautious.
