In what was extremely anticipated for ‘Garba’ enthusiasts, the Gujarat government has announced that people can now enjoy dancing the night away during Navratri.
Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Harsh Sanghavi, has stated that there will be no restrictions on the timing of Garba celebrations.
Sanghavi made the announcement in a social media post, saying, “The auspicious festival of Navratri is approaching. Devotees are all set to immerse themselves in the devotion and power of ‘Maa Amba’. To ensure that all Garba enthusiasts can fully immerse themselves in the festivities and enjoy the blessings, under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, arrangements have been made to allow people to play Garba late into the night. Instructions have been given to the police to ensure that all state citizens can celebrate Navratri enthusiastically.”
