Fuel shortage rumours triggers panic in Vadodara, police steps in to control crowd

Rumours of petrol and diesel shortages have caused panic in Vadodara over the past 24 hours. Long vehicle queues formed at petrol pumps as people rushed to fill their tanks.

​To control the situation, Vadodara Police have increased their presence at major petrol pumps. Police teams have been deployed in different areas to manage crowds and avoid any law and order issues. They are also using loudspeakers and public announcement systems to request people not to believe in rumours.

​The police have clearly stated that there is no shortage of fuel in the city. They are advising citizens to stay calm and purchase petrol or diesel only as per their regular needs, instead of panic buying.

​Due to the sudden rush, traffic congestion has increased in several parts of the city, especially near petrol pumps. Long lines of vehicles have slowed down traffic movement, creating inconvenience for daily commuters. Many people are worried that if they do not fill fuel immediately, they might face problems in the coming days.  

​However, the local administration and oil companies have reassured the public that fuel supply is stable, and there is no disruption in the supply chain. Authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to maintain order.
