Four retired officials nabbed in fake order of NA land transfer in Dahod

Dahod police arrested four more retired government officials in the fake order for the Non-Agriculture land (NA land) transfer scandal on Wednesday.
Among the 112 bogus orders issued by the taluka panchayat in Dahod’s land scam, over 40 orders are believed to involve individuals including D K Sangada, allegedly linked to NA land conversions, and B S Aamliyar, M K Taviyaad, and C M Bariya. The Dahod police have arrested them and initiated an investigation.
Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the accused officials, who held positions such as taluka development officer (TDO) and in-charge, misused their powers to issue unauthorised orders, resulting in corruption.
According to the police, these officials abused their authority and were involved in issuing numerous fake N A orders during their tenure.
P S Aamliyar, who served as TDO and later handled revenue matters at the district panchayat, has also been accused of similar irregularities. All the accused were presented in court, which granted six days of police remand for further investigation.
So far, seven government officials have been named in cases filed in connection with this land scam.
In a previous complaint, it was revealed that Vijay Damor, who worked as a clerk at the district panchayat office, affixed the district panchayat seal on fake N A orders and played a role in the land scam.
Similarly, arrests were made in the case of fake property cards created based on orders issued by City Survey Office Clerk D K Parmar and Maintenance Surveyor Rahul Chavda. With the arrest of four more individuals, the total number of arrests has now reached seven.
